Loans & Savings Groups
Our women empowerment project, with the invaluable support of our stakeholders, has helped more South Sudanese by enhancing their skill set in financial stability, thus enabling them to witness changes in their families and communities.
Our project, utilizing the innovative Village Saving Loans model (VSLA), has been instrumental in providing training and facilitating the formation of small groups of about 15 – 25 members. Upon completion of training, the trainees are supported with seed money through their groups to start a small business.
The borrowed amount is refunded to the group on an agreed-upon term, ensuring the sustainability of the project. The money is then used as a revolving fund to support other groups. Between 2020 and 2022, 200 Women from the refugees and IDPs benefited from our Village Savings and Loans.
